January Grind

This January isn't going nearly as well as December was. Wins are seeming harder to get, although I think I ran hot in December getting many bonus stars on the back of win streaks. I ended December at rank 6, but this month I am still hovering in the 10 to 12 rank. This month I notice my win streaks are much shorter resulting in slower level-ups. I am now starting to see the importance of playing decks that win or lose quickly if you are trying to level up (although for me this isn't a problem since I'm almost always playing aggro decks). In December I mainly used two decks to get to rank 6:

After jamming these decks for weeks on end, I started to feel a little burnt out this month. So I searched around for decklists that I could build without having to dust too much. I came across the Face Hunter deck which looked decent, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Here is the list I am using:

I really like this deck because it aligns perfectly with my play style. The problem is that there is a lot of life gain out there and I don't think I have ever won a game where Reno Jackson was played against me. The results I had with this deck were inconsistent and the other two decks mentioned above just seem a lot more consistent than this deck.

Recently a friend of mine gave me some advice and some decklists, so I will try and aggregate some of that info and post some of the lists and my results with those lists. As for now, I am going back to snag some of Captain Blackheart's Treasure in the Tavern Brawl. I love this Tavern Brawl!
